Job Profile

As a laboratory technician EFZ specializing in chemistry, you will work in research, development, production, quality control, or diagnostics. You will monitor processes, evaluate results, and ensure the chemical purity of active substances and products.

Vocational School at FREI’s Schools in Lucerne

The vocational school is located in Lucerne. In the first year, classes are held two days per week; in the second and third years, 1.5 days per week. With good academic performance, apprentices may pursue the vocational baccalaureate after completing the apprenticeship.

In addition, inter-company courses (ÜK1–5) must be attended. These are organized by the Association of Inter-Company Courses for Laboratory Technicians EFZ in Central Switzerland and take place in Emmenbrücke on the premises of Viscosistadt AG (directly across from Monosuisse AG).

Practical Training at Monosuisse

At the workplace, apprentices work under the supervision of their vocational trainer within the team and are assigned tasks according to their training level. Here, they gain essential professional experience, both in technical and interpersonal aspects.
