Job Profile

Textile technologists specializing in manufacturing work in production. They monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, prepare test reports, and compile statistics. They test and evaluate product quality and often take on organizational and planning tasks. While mainly active in production, they may also work in the laboratory or office.

Vocational School at the Swiss Textile College (STF) in Zurich

The vocational school is located in Zurich. In the first year, apprentices attend classes two days per week, and from the second year onwards one day per week. With good academic performance, it is possible to pursue the vocational baccalaureate.

In addition, apprentices must attend inter-company courses (24 days) organized and conducted by STF.

Practical Training at Monosuisse

At the workplace, apprentices work under the supervision of their vocational trainer within the team and are assigned tasks according to their level of training. Here, they gain essential professional experience, both in technical and interpersonal aspects.
