A new milestone for the Monosuisse Group
Our production facility in Kabinburi, Thailand, has officially started operations, marking another important step in our international growth strategy. The new site strengthens our presence in Asia, expands our production capacity and brings us closer to customers and key markets across the region.
The facility was officially inaugurated in September 2026 with a traditional Buddhist blessing ceremony, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Monosuisse in Thailand.
Strengthening Our Presence in Asia
Building on Sefar’s established presence in Kabinburi since the 1990s, the new Monosuisse facility further expands the group’s manufacturing activities at this location.
The plant focuses on the production of coarse count monofilaments for a wide range of technical applications. Its current production portfolio includes PET, PP and PA monofilaments, serving key industries such as filtration, Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) and automotive applications.
By expanding our production capabilities in Asia, we aim to shorten supply chains, improve regional product availability and respond more efficiently to the needs of our customers.
The new facility represents an important step towards a more balanced global production network, supporting our long-term strategy of combining international expertise with proximity to local markets.
A Traditional Ceremony to Mark a New Beginning
The official inauguration in September included a traditional Buddhist blessing ceremony, reflecting the local culture and traditions of Thailand.
Buddhist monks blessed the new facility, production machinery and employees, marking the start of operations and wishing the team success in the years ahead.
The ceremony was a meaningful occasion for Monosuisse, symbolising both the successful completion of an important project phase and the beginning of production activities at our newest location.
Looking Ahead – Strengthening Cooperation with Sefar
The new facility is currently producing monofilaments for external customers. In a further phase, production is also planned to support Sefar’s own fabric manufacturing activities in Thailand.
This development will bring yarn and fabric production together at the same location, creating opportunities for closer operational cooperation between Monosuisse and Sefar.
With our new production site in Thailand, we continue to strengthen our global manufacturing network while moving closer to our customers and their markets.
The successful start of operations in Kabinburi marks another important milestone in the international development of the Monosuisse Group and reinforces our commitment to reliable supply, customer proximity and long-term growth.
